i/o Data Centers Earns SAS-70 Type II Certification

Arizona-based wholesale colocation and data center solutions provider i/o Data Centers has announced that it attained SAS-70 Type II certification for its Phoenix and Scottsdale, Arizona based data centers.

 

Officials with i/o Data Centers said that the audit was conducted by Deloitte & Touche, an independent accounting and consulting firm and reaffirmed that the company’s operational standards and internal controls have been suitably designed as well as tested to meet the requirements of its clients.

 

Organizations dealing with financial transactions or mission-critical data, such as i/o Data Centers, are generally required to undergo stringent and high quality operations. Currently, SAS (News - Alert)-70 is considered one of the most widely recognized auditing standards for service organizations.

 

Moreover, SAS 70 provides authoritative guidance, which helps service companies to disclose their control activities as well as processes to their customers and their customers' auditors in a uniform reporting format.

The audit by Deloitte (News - Alert) & Touche included the company’s human resources procedures, physical and logical security, facility and environmental protection, client account management and data center operations.
