Clickability Adds New SAS 70 Type II-Certified Data Center
By Anuradha Shukla, TMCnet Contributor
Clickability has announced the addition of a new energy-efficient SAS (News - Alert) 70 Type II-Certified data center in Denver, Colorado.
The set-up and migration to the new data center has been completed and Clickability expects it will help them address the needs of its enterprise and media customers. The company also has a San Jose-based center, and together with the new Colorado facility it forms the foundation for Clickability's robust back-end infrastructure.
Clickability focuses on the back-end technology to help their customers free up their IT departments and focus on other more important things, noted John Girard, CEO of Clickability.
They have worked to ensure that their customers’ Websites are not tied to one particular facility or geographic area. Girard stated that they have also doubled their ability to handle event-based spikes in user traffic by distributing it across two data centers that have each been sized to handle 100 percent of peak traffic.
Clickability's co-location data centers offer global businesses a high level of business continuity and compliance. Companies no longer have to invest in expensive storage systems and additional staff to manage complex systems. Instead, they can leverage the certified hosting facilities of Clickability at a fraction of the cost.
According to company’s officials, each Clickability data center is built for speed, reliability and security. By using an "active/active" setup, Clickability enables Website publication from both data centers simultaneously. The company claims that this configuration would be quite costly for companies to achieve on their own.
Both facilities can run real-time data replication, and each center alone can seamlessly assume 100 percent of Clickability's peak-load traffic without any disruption of service.
Also, thanks to Clickability’s multi-tenant architecture, all customers share the same hardware infrastructure and the same version of Clickability's SaaS (News - Alert)-based application with benefits that include seamless upgrades, fast release cycles, and lower total cost of ownership as well as no more IT maintenance and hardware expenses.
