"O1 Communications has grown up hugely over the last year," said O1 CEO Brad Jenkins. "We are now better positioned than ever to expand our growth in the carrier and wholesale markets." Conforming to expectations, O1 experienced record sales in its direct and carrier divisions over the last four quarters. They expect record-setting sales to continue.
The company has recently deployed Acme Packet's (News - Alert) Net-Net 4500 platform to expand its SIP peering services to enable service providers to originate and terminate voice calls throughout California via a single IP connection. The Net-Net 4500 provides secure and seamless interconnection of IP networks for multiple services and applications to small and medium-sized enterprises.
"Our subscriber base expects nothing less than the highest levels of voice service quality even in the presence of increasing call volumes," said Jenkins
"As we expanded our network, the Net-Net 4500 was the easy and logical choice -- we doubled our session performance and capacity relative to our installed Net-Net 4250s by simply loading the same configuration file."
Officials at O1 said that new up gradation from Lucent/Alcatel LCS and Acme Packet has helped the company to increase its network capacity for traffic and PSTN Trunking and expects to double its current 1/2 billion minutes in network traffic to one billion very soon.
