Telx Appoints Brad Hokamp as Chief Marketing Officer
NEW YORK, NY, Mar 11, 2010 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Telx(R), the leading interconnection and colocation provider in
strategic North American markets, today announced that it has named
Brad Hokamp its new chief marketing officer. Hokamp brings more than
25 years of sales and marketing experience in the colocation, hosting
and networking markets to his key leadership position with Telx and
will focus on the continued growth of the company's financial
services, carrier, service provider, software-as-a-service (SaaS) and
media/entertainment verticals.
"Telx is pleased to include Brad Hokamp as an important part of our
management staff," said Eric Shepcaro, CEO of Telx. "Brad's proven
track record in driving results in the colocation and networking
industries, along with his sales and marketing experience, make him
an excellent addition to the Telx team. His in-depth knowledge of the
data center space and business communications infrastructure will
drive the expansion of our solutions to meet our existing customers'
requirements, as well as opening up new, high growth markets for
Telx, such as cloud exchange, video exchange and Ethernet exchange."
As Telx's CMO, Hokamp will drive all facets of corporate and
solutions marketing, including product marketing and distribution
strategies, pricing and promotions, communications, public relations,
strategic business development and customer support. Prior to joining
the Telx senior management team, Hokamp spent 10 years at Savvis
Inc., where most recently, he was the senior vice president of the
Hosting Business Unit, managing the full hosting and colocation
organization. Prior to that assignment, he served as senior vice
president of sales for the eastern region and federal sales and also
managed the product management and marketing organization. Hokamp
also spent 15 years in sales and marketing leadership roles at
Sprint, where he primarily focused on the data communications and
Internet services portfolios.
"I am excited to join the management team at Telx and am extremely
impressed with the tremendous growth the company has been able to
achieve over the last two years," said Brad Hokamp, Telx's new CMO.
"With Telx's highly connected data center footprint, we are uniquely
positioned to continue our rapid growth in the interconnection and
colocation markets for service providers and financial services, and
also expand by creating solutions for emerging high growth markets
such as cloud computing interconnection and exchange,
software-as-a-service and other latency sensitive applications."
